The Triumph XXI of the Rider Waite Smith deck and its connection with the Goddess Hekate, especially seeing Her as the Mother of Binah projecting as the Bride of Binah in the path of Tau.

The card was painted by Adepts Pamela Colman Smith under the instructions of Arthur Edward Waite, but he also got inspired by the card of the Tarot de Marseilles. Waited added the second wand but he didn’t want to be black, in order to keep some secrets.
The oval shape is drawn upon medieval symbolism of the Christ, who was surrounded by almond shapes with leaves. The four creatures around are those from the vision of Ezekiel and Revelation. So the picture was inspired by Christ and the Apocalypse.

Some days ago, I followed a pathworking being in theta-gamma. The Goddess Hekate played an important role to this exercise as I asked Her to show me a symbol for my further personal evolution. From a point I could't continue with the existed story of the pathworking as the Goddess created scenes in which I coudln't interfere with my imagination. In this journey She took me to a place which I found later that it was also described in the last book of Plato's Politeia in the concept of the myth, the myth of Er. My purpose is not to reveal the pathworking but the conclusions, the myth and my commentaries.

In the following article an ancient hymn to Hekate will be presented saved by the christian philosopher and theologist, Ippolytos. The hymn is unknown to the community of the Goddess Hekate and as this blog has the goal to present rare material and information from the ancient texts, about our Goddess, this article is another great contribution to our goal. The hymn can be used to invoke the Goddess during Deipnon (=Supper) or the darker aspects during waning of the moon.
